1. Acceptance

By creating an account on Zawj & Zawja, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, legally able to enter into a marriage contract, and using the service in good faith for matrimonial purposes. Use by minors is prohibited and any such account will be terminated.

3. Acceptable use

  • Provide truthful information on your profile. Catfishing, fake profiles, and impersonation will result in a permanent ban.
  • Treat other members with adab. Harassment, hate speech, sexual content, scams, and off-platform solicitation are forbidden.
  • Do not use the service to promote casual dating, non-marital relationships, or anything contrary to Islamic law.
  • Do not attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, attack, or disrupt the service.

4. Polygamy

The platform supports brothers seeking additional wives where this is permitted by their local law and their existing wife/wives are aware. By indicating you are married and seeking another spouse, you confirm this. Sisters open to polygamy similarly opt in via their preferences.

5. Subscriptions, boosts, and refunds

  • Premium subscriptions (Gold/Platinum) and boost/super-like packages are paid via the supported gateways and grant the listed benefits for the stated period.
  • Auto-renewal is opt-in. You can cancel at any time from Settings → Billing.
  • Refunds are not provided for partially used subscription periods. Refunds for failed transactions are processed by the payment gateway.

6. Termination

We may suspend or terminate any account that violates these terms, harms other users, or breaks the law. You can terminate your account at any time from Settings.

7. Disclaimer

Zawj & Zawja is a platform to help you identify candidates for marriage. We are not a substitute for involving your wali and family, and we make no guarantee of matches, compatibility, or marriage. Use of the service is at your own risk.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Kampala.
