Is Zawj & Zawja only for Muslims?
Yes. The platform is built exclusively for Muslims seeking marriage. We do not facilitate casual dating or non-marital relationships.
Do I have to pay to use it?
No. You can register, build a profile, like profiles, and chat with mutual matches for free, with sensible daily limits. Premium tiers (Gold and Platinum) unlock unlimited messaging, advanced filters, and visibility features.
How does verification work?
You request verification from your dashboard, upload a selfie and a government ID, and our moderation team reviews it manually. Verified members display a gold badge. Verification is optional but strongly recommended.
Do you allow polygamy?
Yes — respectfully. Brothers who indicate they are seeking a second, third, or fourth wife will only be shown to sisters whose preferences indicate they are open to polygamy, and vice versa. Both sides opt in.
How is my data protected?
Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. We never share your profile or contact details with third parties. You can hide your photos, go incognito, or delete your account at any time.
What payments do you accept?
We support Visa and MasterCard, PayPal, Airtel Money, MTN Mobile Money, and DPO. Pricing is shown in USD by default, with UGX, KES, TZS, EUR, and GBP available.
Can I report or block someone?
Yes — every profile has Report and Block buttons. Reports go to our moderation team. Blocking is instant and mutual: blocked users cannot find or contact you again.
What safety tips should I follow?
Never share your password, banking details, or sensitive personal information. Use the in-app messaging until you both feel comfortable. Involve your wali or family early. If anyone asks for money or moves the conversation off-platform aggressively, report them immediately.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings → Account → Delete account. Your profile is removed immediately, and all personal data is purged within 30 days.
